How Do I Volunteer?

Quality Hospice Care is a big family. We value the help and the care from others that give selflessly of their time.

Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!

Our volunteers go through a thorough background/criminal check before they are welcomed into our Quality family. They also have extensive training so that when we send them to your family, you can rest assured. Accepting only the highest level of character, we accept only those we know to be trustworthy and available to help you in any way they are needed.

  • Sitting with the patient to give the caregiver/family member a break for a few hours
  • Run errands
  • Prepare light meals
  • Lend emotional support
  • Write letters
  • Read to the patient
  • Light housekeeping
  • Bereavement support
  • Helping with children
  • Sharing a quiet moment
  • Talking with and/or listening to the patient
  • Journaling (helping the patient record their history)
  • Going for walks with the patient or family member
